Annie
This sweet granny girl is a joy to my grandson. Although she waits for a loving home, she is not deprived of affection or treats. She has a true blue little boy who thinks she is tops. He tells me she is his best friend and its so sweet, Really I do not know why this sweet girl was thrown out of a car onto a busy road to be hit. Thankfully she was saved by a passer by and became a member as well as safe here at The Weiner Brigade Inc.
Because of a horrible attack by a coyote that jumped a 5 foot fence on Saturday March 12, 2011 our little Annie became a victim and her photos are grafic and bills are high to fix her good as new, her spirit never wavers. She is under vet care still and will be for some time as she heals. Gifts to help care for her are being excepted. She currently has two drain tubes, and many stitches internally and many many staples on the outside. Poor sweet Annie. WE also hope that we can locate Annie a wonderful home, she is only 21 pounds and small, however older dogs are the last on a persons mind when they think adoption. This girl holds out hope of having a wonderful life full of love, she has the determination that goes beyond the norm, Annie wants life and happiness. Please help us find her a loving home and funds to continue her care. She has been with us for almost a year. Annie also has been found to have a mammery tumor, so in some grim way this was a blessing, We will have that removed and sent out as soon and also a dental that the vet has recommeded.
FYI: The game warden was told of the attack and they are looking for the coyote, they have trapped and killed quite a few around our area (14 in all with in a couple miles from us). We will be working on putting a live wire around the outside of the play yard to prevent this from happening again. We strive to keep our dogs safe while in our care. Please do not look at the photos if you a tender heart, they are grafic and might not be suitable for all, but we want you to know what just a blink of an eye can cause with these wild animals. Had my husband and his friend not been outside when this started and went to her rescue, Annie would NOT be alive.
Also Thank you Dr. Wolfgange at Banfield Hospital in Willoughby for providing her emergancy care and the three hours that it took to sew annie back together. May God bless you and your Tecs.

Annie and her summer
Annie has fully healed from her coyote attack and is doing well. Although she has yet to locate a family she is happy and thrives. Many times senior dogs are passed over because families feel that an older dog is unable to be trained. This is far from the truth. ALL dogs no matter their age can be trained and are valued family members. Unlike puppies older dogs are easier to be trained. Annie needs a home, she deserves to have one on one and to be cherished.
Sad to announce that Annie passed October 21, 2013 quietly in her sleep as a very old lady with out a care in the world, she never was adopted but she was well loved by us...somehow this sweet girl was ment to be in our home on her last journey. RIP sweet baby, enjoy running thru the mud puddles there and rolling in the grass like you did here...Silly girl...
